Abstract:
Creativity for all has long been a long-standing goal of research on cognition in creativity as well as computational creativity. Now the advent of modern information and communication technology makes reaching this goal increasingly feasible. In this talk, I will trace through a decade of research on virtual creativity assistants in two projects: The IBID project seeks to support biologically inspired design of technical systems; and the VERA project focuses on supporting ecological system modeling. Both projects are heading towards creativity at scale as a method for achieving the long-cherished goal of creativity for (most) all.
