Dr. Farzan is a researcher in the field of social computing. She is interested in studying online communities, how they perform and how they can be designed and maintained more effectively. In Dr. Farzan's research, she seeks to understand, design, and implement socio-technical systems that empower individuals and groups to contribute to knowledge production and community building.
